Astell&Kern, the global audio leader from South Korea, has collaborated with Vision Ears, a pioneer of in-ear systems based in Germany, to reveal the AURA at High End Munich 2023. 

Vision Ears is a premium German IEM brand established in 2013, providing the highest-quality IEMs created based on its technological prowess and meticulous craftsmanship by hand, earning its recognition as a leader in the premium IEM market. 

Both esteemed companies have combined their technological prowess and world leading sound signature to develop an in-ear monitor which blends breath-taking performance with exemplary design.

Exquisitely engineered sound

Handcrafted at Vision Ears’ headquarters in Cologne, Germany, the AURA is equipped with two precise 8mm low dynamic drivers and eight balanced armature drivers for a powerful, warm mid-range as well as a balanced armature super tweeter to deliver crisp yet delicate high notes. 

A five-way crossover with special circuitry avoids excessive load from the tweeter towards the source, resulting in extended and harmonic highs.

Ensuring complete accuracy and vibrancy at all frequencies, the AURA is built with a unique isobaric configuration with two 8mm dynamic drivers facing each other to effectively double the output volume. 

A special chamber with a pinpoint internal volume is also included to maximise audio precision while the AURA’s gleaming aluminium acoustic mesh circulates air efficiently and controls the power of the dynamic drivers.

Uncompromising luxury

Feather-light yet sturdy, the AURA is cased in a high-grade Swiss aluminium, corrosion resistant shell with a finely hand-polished surface and Vision Ears’ own custom warm grey colour. 

At the front, the custom dark bronze faceplate features precision-tailored micro grooves which are carefully treated to prevent oxidisation.

The supremely luxurious feel extends to the array of premium accessory options. The AURA comes with a selection of masterfully crafted leather carrying cases, earphone pockets and cable clips. 

The cables are custom-made by Effect Audio to ensure consistently outstanding audio performance while class-leading flexibility ensures a more comfortable fit.
